GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR KEROSENE HEATERS
ALWAYS PUT A NEW WICK INTO A SECOND- HAND HEATER
BEFORE PUTTING IN A NEW WICK
- Drain tank of old kerosene & remove wick
- Put some fresh kerosene in swish around, pour out, do this a couple of
times this will clean the inside of tank
- Check to make sure there is no dirt etc around the burner.
- Fill tank with fresh filtered kerosene (use a filter to filter out dirt,
impurities & water)
- Put in new wick
- Wait at least 30mins before lighting to allow wick to absorb kerosene
- Small amounts of water can ruin a wick. Water that is trapped in the
wick will block the flow of kerosene. This causes low, uneven flames
and
- possibly odour.
Water condensation can occur in heater tank or storage tin. See
instructions below for storage after use.
